Websites I can’t live without - Flightstats.com

Flightstats.co

I guess I came across flightstats.com around the time of the infamous JetBlue Valentine’s Day debacle earlier this year.

I was looking for a place to check flight departure status and was not satisfied with JFK’s website. Through a Google search I landed at flightstats.com (no pun intended) and found three features that really got me hooked:

  1. accurate flight arrivals/departure info… sometimes even more updated that the official airlines websites
  2. a very cool real-time flight tracker mashed-up with Google Maps
  3. a great range of statistics that include weather forecast, average security delays and historical punctuality of airlines and flights

Since then, I have been using the site regularly. It has great functionality and a clean layout so if you are a traveler or planespotter there is something for you here. Enjoy!
