As many of you know, I have been a huge fan of the Rhapsody subscription service for quite so time now.
When I need my music “to go” I have so far relied on my sansa m250. Still, the software glitches have made the thing unusable lately with far too many “synchronize to continue” and disk [...]

When I subscribed to Portfolio magazine I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I am loving the current issue. Here are a couple of great quotes on the future of the music business:

Roku upgrades with radioroku.com

Posted by: Juan Lopez-Valcarcel In: Internet| Music & Radio

I have been a Roku Soundbridge fan since last Xmas, when I received this great gadget as a present.
The latest firmware upgrade now includes access to a fantastic service also available online: Radioroku.com. This is arguably one of the best online radio directories I have found online. The stations are user-submitted, reviewed and ranked with [...]

Music industry issues beyond DRM

Posted by: Juan Lopez-Valcarcel In: Music & Radio

In the midst of all the talk about DRM-free music, Fred Wilson tackles another major issue in the music industry: how scalpers have taken over online concert ticket sales.

The music business is so screwed up. They overcharge for music and undercharge for tickets. They handicap the sale of online music (the future) to protect the [...]
