2. Living Room Convergence

Is this the year when the much taunted living-room convergence of online video will begin?
The Venice Project and the rumored Apple iTV, plus TiVo could still surprise us by upgrading its online capabilities or working together with one of the above.

Videogames consoles are another major contender to become the center of the digital living room, and a potential success of this generation of consoles could trigger a new wave of growth opportunities for companies trying to stream photos, audio and video to the big screen.

In 2007, with enough inventory to satisfy demand, we will be able to truly assess whether Wii makes it to the mass-market and whether PS3 is the failure so many observers would like to see or actually the launch of a must-have device for the digital home.
